The Mississippi Tourism Department is offering job offers for Mississippi workers in its tourism industry
MISSISSIPPI TURNS 150 YEARS AGO – The Mississippi Department of Tourism has opened its 150th year of operation.
The department’s first opening celebration took place on March 9, 1900.
Its mission statement reads, “To provide employment opportunities for the State’s skilled workers, both temporary and permanent.”
In the past, the department has hired over 2,000 employees.
It has a workforce of about 20,000 people, making it the largest tourism employment agency in the state.
This year, the company is looking for a new Director of Tourism Development.
