A tour of Cambodia’s cultural heritage
Tourism officials in Cambodia have announced a three-day cultural tourism tour that will take in the country’s historic temples and other heritage sites.
The tours will run from April 14 to May 6.
Tourism Minister Boon Boon Thit, who is a prominent Buddhist leader, has said the purpose of the three-week tour is to explore Cambodia’s rich heritage.
He said the tours will explore Cambodian history, heritage and culture and offer a glimpse of Cambodias rich cultural history.
Tourists are invited to visit some of the countrys most beautiful temples and the country´s historical sites and learn about Cambodia´s past, including the colonial era, and its current state.
The tourism ministry said more than 2.2 million tourists visited Cambodia last year and this year has already seen an increase of almost half a million tourists.
It is not known when the tour will start, but tourists can expect to see the country for up to two months at a time.
