— It was the third consecutive win for the St. John’s IceCaps as they defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 in overtime Wednesday night at Joe Louis Arena.
After scoring first with a power-play goal in the first period, Nick Jensen scored on the power-ins to tie the game in the third period.
The Blues then held the Ducks scoreless until Jeff Carter scored on a power play goal in overtime.
Jensen finished with two goals and three assists.
The Blues have now won five straight games, tying the NHL record for most wins in a season.
The win was St. Peters’ fourth straight against the Ducks.
The IceCabs are tied for first place in the Central Division.
